China has not discussed with British side on date of PM Starmer's visit: spokesperson

BEIJING, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- China has not yet engaged in discussions with the British side on specific issues such as the date of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's visit to China, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Wednesday.
It's reported that Starmer will visit China from January 29 to 31, 2026, with his itinerary including stops in Beijing and Shanghai.
Spokesperson Guo Jiakun told a regular news briefing that China attaches great importance to improving and developing China-UK relations and is willing to strengthen exchanges at all levels with the UK.
